French Berry Toast

This tasty breakfast contains whole grains, low fat protein and antioxidant-rich berries – making it a great start to the day. You could also halve the quantities and have as a dessert or as a sweet treat in the afternoon.
Ingredients:
- 4 slices wholemeal bread
- 3 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten
- 4 tablespoons of skimmed milk
- 1 teaspoon of unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons of fresh, frozen or tinned berries
- 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons of low fat natural yoghurt
Method:
- Beat the egg, milk, cinnamon and sugar in a bowl and dip the bread in the mixture.
- Heat the butter in a large frying pan and add the bread.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Serve with a tablespoon of berries and yoghurt (optional) on each slice.
